Job Title:  Program Assistant

Reports to:  Program Director

Job Summary: The Program Assistant is responsible for creating an inviting, fun, challenging, and energizing atmosphere for the Day Program offered to Wings Members.
Culture and Mission: Assist in enhancing the lives of adults with Special Needs

 Assist staff in the area of educational and vocational curriculum using all three modalities of learning, i.e. visual, auditory, and kinesthetic
 Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and followed by self, volunteers and members  Implement appropriate behavioral interventions as necessary
 Coordinates and leads lunch volunteer team
 Assists volunteers in Member work in the community
 Fill in where necessary
 Maintain quality control in production products
 Ability to maintain professional working relationships with staff, parents, and volunteers
 Support the strategic goals of the Wings organization
 All other duties as may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
 Positive attitude

 Ability to work and plan independently
 Organized, attention to detail, flexible and adaptable

Qualifications & Experience:
 Passion for special needs community
 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or prior experience working with the special needs community

MISSION: To enhance the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through social, vocational, and residential communities based on principles of the Bible.

Job Title: Program Director (An at-will position)

Reports to: Executive Director

Job Summary: The Program Director is responsible for executing an excellent program to adults with developmental disabilities w/ sights focused on independence in residential community.


* Hire, train, lead, and manage staff equipped w/ passion and skilled in SN and teaching

* Lead program according to NCASES policies and processes.

* Lead according to nonprofit model (volunteers, partners, sponsors, spread mission)

* Desire to grow in numbers and member independence

* Desire to use skills and resources to implement new programs

* Recruits, trains, and leads volunteers

* Desire to help move Wings to residential community

* Lead Social Club and double the impact

* Maintain schedule of events

* Other duties that may be assigned

Culture and Mission: Create a friendly culture where everyone is important. Focus on the big” picture; residential. Work with staff and volunteers to reach new levels of independence for members. Must have a passion for adults with special needs.

Financial Management: Prepare and manage annual budget.

Training and Experience: BS in Education or SN, and Master of Education desirable

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ongoing research. Organizational skills, leadership, customer service skills and management skills are necessary for the position.

Credentials & Experience: Experience leading teachers and SN.
