Job Title: Teacher
Reports to: Program Director
Job Summary: The Teacher is responsible for creating an inviting, fun, challenging, and energizing atmosphere for the Day Program offered to Wings Members. This is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.
Culture and Mission: Assist in enhancing the lives of adults with Developmental Disabilities

Responsibilities:
· Plan and implement educational and vocational curriculum using all three modalities of learning, i.e. visual, auditory, and kinesthetic
· Ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and followed by self, volunteers and members
· Implement appropriate behavioral interventions as necessary· Complete detailed weekly lesson plans and turn in to Program Director for approval one week in advance
· Conduct annual ISP
· Facilitate Chapel on rotation basis
· Ability to maintain professional working relationships with staff, parents, and volunteers
· Support the strategic goals of the Wings organization
· Transport members in Wings 11-passenger van to off-site community partners as necessary
· Invite community partners to Wings for on-site learning opportunities
· All other duties as assigned

ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER [FT]

Job Title:  Accountant/Bookkeeper [Full-Time]

Reports to:  Executive Director

Job Summary:

The Accountant/Bookkeeper is responsible for managing day-to-day financial activity, including tuition billings, daily cash receipts and disbursement, fundraising event revenues and expenses, coordinating and recording payroll with the third-party service provider, preparation of monthly and annual NFP GAAP compliant financial statements of the organization, preparation of 1099 documents to be distributed at year end and coordination of the annual audit and preparation of the Form 990 with the external auditors.  Financial Accountant will also work closely with the Executive Director and Finance Committee Chair in executing the above activities and with the preparation of the annual budget and reporting to the Board of Directors.

Tasks:

  • Cash receipts and cash disbursements processing
  • Billing of monthly Member tuition
  • Follow-up on accounts receivable
  • Month-end analysis of accounts and preparation of financial statements
  • Preparation of, and posting of accrual-based journal entries
  • Coordination with Fundraising Committees, Development Director, and Executive Director
  • Working with Finance Committee Chair and other Board designees, as appropriate
  • Coordination with external auditors during annual examination of books/records and 990 prep
  • Help strengthen Wings internal controls – share recommendations with E.D. and Finance Chair
  • Help safeguard assets and streamline financial statement closing procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Previous accounting experience required – working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
  • Previous experience with financial statement preparation required – not-for-profit knowledge preferred (separation of unrestricted, restricted, Board designated and Endowment funds)
  • Knowledge of fundraising management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, computers and printers
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Experience in rendering accrual-basis financial statements, prepared in accordance with GAAP

Credentials & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree and/or 5 years experience in Accounting or Bookkeeping
  • CPA preferred, but not required
