our volunteers
Friends are not merely a blessing; they are vital.
volunteers enrich our member’s lives
At Wings, we believe in building a thriving community for our Members. A vital way this happens is involving the public in our daily activities through a variety of volunteer opportunities.
Young Professionals Board
Created in 2017, the Wings Young Professionals Board is comprised of philanthropic young adults with a variety of skills, talents, and professions with the common goal of furthering the mission of Wings, through fundraising, networking and volunteering.
Made up of young professionals, age 25 or older, the YP Board hosts an annual fundraiser, Wingin’ It, to raise money for Wings and introduce the mission to people in the community. We are no longer accepting applications for the 2023 YP Board. Applications will reopen for the 2024 Board in December 2023.

“I’ve been in business for years, and I had never really volunteered or served a nonprofit. And it turns out I had no idea what I was missing. It didn’t take long for Wings to develop into a passion. I get more from this than what I’m giving.”
- Bob Barnard, Board Member & Volunteer
TEEN BOARD
Learning empathy is a time-honored skill for teens to master (and adults too!). By developing the values of altruism, compassion and acceptance in our teen volunteers, we heighten advocacy for others as well as fostering a sense of service to your community and its people.
The Wings Teen Board is a great place for high school students to learn leadership skills while serving our Members. As part of the Teen Board, you will have the opportunity to plan activities and play a big role in our Social Club program. If you are interested in joining the Teen Board, simply click this link and complete the application. Our Social Club Director, Shea, will be in touch once you’ve completed the application.
